Conversation Rooms – Institutional Imaginaries

A choreography, a set of performances, gatherings, dialogues.
An undoing, unmaking and rebuilding.

This event and series of conversations is framed by the theme of the institutional imaginary, asking what kind of institution enables designing speculative worlds, drawing on the past for a different future. In thinking through the index and archive, edge and margin these series of conversations enabled a slower form of engagement with multiple spaces, institutional framings and ways of interacting with each other. The different forms of engagement are understood as generous spaces for a plurality of voices, contested views and dialogic encounters as a way of both talking through and working through architectural institutional imaginaries for and from our context.
