Counterparts is an entanglement of artistic pursuits, a commons for thinking, writing and making, based at Counterspace’s studio in Braamfontein, Johannesburg; with digital reach to other cities in Africa.
We are a collective of cultural producers and artistic practitioners working on the edges of cultural production and social justice, environmental concerns, history and archiving, belonging and identity.
A gathering of people of both like-minded and laterally diverging fascinations.
- Counterspace’s studio shared studio space
- Publishing, dialogues and exhibitions
